Robuust en efficiënt, ARaymond's Orbit-boombegeleiding is ontworpen om jonge boompjes snel en gemakkelijk aan bamboestokken te bevestigen en tegelijkertijd de boom beter te verzorgen. Het Orbit-systeem is gemaakt van duurzame en UV-bestendige materialen en is een milieuvriendelijke oplossing die uw grond vrij houdt van plastic afval en hergebruikt kan worden tijdens meerdere productieperiodes.

Omdat onkruidbestrijding een van de grootste problemen is waarmee boomkwekerijen worden geconfronteerd, hebben we de Tree Disc ontwikkeld, een hypermoderne grasdoder. Ontworpen om onkruid te elimineren in een kwekerijomgeving, biedt de Tree Disc een efficiënte onkruidbestrijding zonder de wortels en stammen van sierplanten te beschadigen.

Ornamental tree nurseries and urban landscaping

In ornamental tree nurseries, trunk straightness and bark quality directly influence the commercial value of each tree. Inadequate support can cause leaning, chafing, or visible marks that may affect its suitability for urban landscaping and landscape design projects.

Orbit and Agilo solutions allow young trees to be secured to a stake or existing support structure without placing excessive pressure on the trunk. They can also be adjusted as the tree grows and reused across different production cycles.

These solutions are suitable for ornamental nursery trees, street trees, specimens intended for parks and gardens, and other young trees that need to grow straight, stable, and free from visible bark damage.

Young fruit tree nurseries, such as apple, pear, cherry and almond trees

In fruit tree nurseries, such as apple, cherry or pear trees, tutoring helps achieve more uniform and orderly growth. That is why our tutor fastening supports play a key role in the proper development of these crops.

In this regard, support solutions are very useful when tutors for almond trees or for other young fruit trees are involved in the crop.  Specially, when they need stability before transplanting or during the first growing seasons.

Young olive trees: intensive and super-intensive cultivation

Whether Orbit or Agilo, tutors for olive trees combined with our support solutions help keep the tree straight. They also help protecting olive trees from the wind.
In addition to using Agilo and Orbit to secure tutors for super-intensive olive groves, these solutions can be combined with Orbdisk at the base of the tree. This gives you full weed control in your young olive grove, without herbicides.

Walnut trees and nut plantations

In walnut trees and other nut plantations, such as almond trees, support during the first years helps protect the tree from the wind and promotes more stable development.

Our Orbit solution, for example, is suitable for ornamental trees, olive trees and walnut trees.

How long does a young tree need to be tutored?

Generally, a young tree may need tutoring during its first 2 to 4 years, until it develops a root system capable of anchoring properly in the soil. The exact time depends on the type of tree, the soil, the climate and wind exposure. The key is to check the support regularly to avoid pressure on the trunk.

Can Orbit be reused over several seasons?

Yes. Orbit is designed as a reusable solution and is protected against ultraviolet rays and high temperatures. It has a 4-year service life, so it can be used over several seasons if kept in good condition.

What is the difference between Agilo Wire, Belt and Pipe?

The difference lies in the type of anchor point:

• Agilo Wire is fixed to tensioned wire.
• Agilo Belt is installed on a wooden stake with a screw.
• Agilo Pipe is used with a pipe.

All three systems are designed for tying young trees without damaging the trunk and support a maximum tree diameter of Ø100 mm.

Does Orbdisk work in super-intensive olive groves?

Orbdisk is suitable for olive trees, fruit trees and ornamental trees. Its function is to prevent grass from growing around the tree and help keep the base of the trunk clean. To confirm its suitability for a specific super-intensive olive grove, it is advisable to assess the planting layout and the needs of the crop.

Which support system is suitable for ornamental nursery trees?

The right choice depends on the type of stake or support structure available. Orbit secures the tree to a bamboo stake, while the Agilo range includes versions for tensioned wire, wooden stakes, or pipes. These solutions help keep young ornamental trees upright while protecting the bark from rubbing, pressure, and damage that could reduce their commercial value.

Is any special tool needed for installation?

It depends on the system chosen. For example, Agilo Belt requires a 6 mm countersunk screw to be fixed to the wooden stake. For the rest of ARaymond Agriculture’s nursery supports, installation will depend on the type of anchor point available, whether tensioned wire or pipe. The Agilo family is designed to make installation easier in the field or nursery.

How many Agilo units do I need per hectare?

There is no single figure, because it depends on the planting layout, tree density per hectare and the number of support points needed per tree. To calculate it correctly, you first need to know how many trees there are per hectare and what type of installation will be used. What maximum tree diameter does the system support?

Agilo Wire, Agilo Belt and Agilo Pipe support a maximum tree diameter of Ø100 mm. This measurement allows the Agilo family to be used at different stages of young tree development, as long as the trunk diameter is compatible with the selected system.
